About us
moroccoferries.com is an independent comparison site for the ferry connections to Morocco. The routes covered include the short crossings across the Strait of Gibraltar from Spain and the longer routes from France and Italy to Tanger Med and Nador. Six shipping companies operate the routes: AML, Baleària, FRS/DFDS, GNV, La Méridionale and Naviera Armas.
What matters here is less the distance than where the gangway puts you down. Tarifa is the only route that docks in Tangier itself, and Moroccan border control is handled on board, so you step off into the city. Tanger Med carries most of the traffic but sits some forty-five kilometres to the east and needs onward transport of its own. Ceuta and Melilla are Spanish ground, so those crossings end at a land border rather than in Morocco proper. Nador opens the east coast and the Rif. Against all of that stand the long sailings from Sète, Marseille and Genoa, which trade a night or more at sea for the drive down through Spain. We sort the routes by landing point, crossing time and operator, and note what each one asks of a vehicle.

What this site is not
moroccoferries.com is an independent guide. We are not the official website of any of the ferry operators; timetables and fares are set by the shipping companies themselves. We are not a Morocco travel guide and not a hotel or car rental portal, and we deliberately leave out sights in Morocco, flights and car rental. We do not sell tickets ourselves: bookings are completed with our partner directferries.de, and their current prices, availability and terms apply.
